All training for the courses below is completed at the AICM Post Falls facility, its Student Clinic/Spa. Field Trips to off-site facilities are done under the direction of AICM staff. The AICM Introductory Course in Massage Module I is approximately eight weeks long and introduces the student to a real-world experience in massage. Students initially learn massage techniques in the classroom by working on each other. Training focuses on safety issues, Swedish relaxation massage, as well as basic Pathology relating to Clinic experience. Clinic work begins half way through the program after a practical exam on an instructor or a senior AICM student. Upon completion, students are skilled in giving a safe and quality massage. We also offer post graduate training to Remedial level and workshops including Indian Head Massage, Massage during Pregnancy & Labour and Baby Massage all of which are open to ITEC/BTEC qualified therapists.
